Volunteer Information

We encourage all prospective volunteers to review the Glendale Unified School District Volunteer Guidance for information on eligibility, clearance requirements, and volunteer expectations.

Event Description:

Volunteers will assist with sorting fresh fruits and vegetables, setting up farmers market style events, providing excellent customer service to students, families and community members, and breaking down events.

Volunteer duties may include:

• Helping the team set up tables, canopies, and event signage.

• Sorting through produce to identify and discard spoiled items.

• Placing fruits and vegetables into crates on tables.

• Breaking down boxes and keeping event space clean and organized.

• Providing a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for participants during events.

• Tracking and checking in families during events.

• Helping the team break down tables, canopies, and other event supplies.

Important Notes:

• Please sign in at the school main office and then proceed to the event area. 

• Wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. 

• Events take place outside under canopies or shaded areas.
